Our history

We love sports, and each volunteer that makes SCME possible is involved with their own local sporting clubs - whether as a treasurer, president, coach or administrator. We know how hard it is to find good information & training, and we know how important it is to find good suppliers for our sport.

In January 2012, the idea was borne to hold an annual conference and expo to allow sports, businesses, council & community groups and academics to come together and learn, share and meet useful contacts to help grow their club, association, and wider sporting community.

SCME has now grown to a multi-state organisation with over 750 delegates attending our events each year.

SCME's core values:

• Championing grassroots sports volunteers and initiatives
• Building the quality, efficacy and inclusivity of grassroots sport across Australia
